This week I was inspired to put together a Vegas Style post. It is a vegas inspired day-to-night look. This is the type of look I would wear while shopping the strip and to the aquarium at the Silverton.I’d switch up the lip for a bold color for a bar appropriate look. I wanted this look to focus on my eyes, so in the picture below you will see that I am wearing only eye makeup. However,I will walk you through the entire look. When I think Vegas Style, I think of smokey eyes and bold lips. I wanted this look to be super simple and easy, so all of the products are easy to travel with. The last thing I want is to waste my entire trip putting on my makeup, so I really broke down this Vegas Style to be easy and fast. Lets start with the eyes!
First,I primed my eyes with NYX Proof It primer. This stuff is no joke! Your eye makeup will not fade with it on! The NYX jumbo pencils in Black bean and iced mocha were my go to for this look because they are so easy to use. To start,I applied iced mocha all over my lid and then used black bean on the outer corner and crease to create a smokey effect. Lastly, I blended each color out by patting it with my ring finger. As you can see, the effect is lighter in the picture, you can build each color up to the desired shade. Finally,I finished off the eyes with a black mascara, any one will work. Personally,I really like the Almay one coat waterproof mascara.
During the day, I skip foundation most of the time. To start, I applied NYC BB cream for a light coverage. Next, I added a layer of Maybelline Dream mousse foundation for a flawless coverage. To finish up, I used Benefit’s hoola bronzer to contour my face, since this is a nighttime look.
To finish off the look, I used L’oreal matte gloss in Forbidden kiss, which is a beautiful berry shade. This is by fair my favorite matte liquid lip from the drugstore. The colors are beautiful and they DO NOT budge no matter how much you eat, drink or kiss. Let’s be honest, thats what you need in a lipstick for vegas!
Overall, I wanted the lip color to really add to the smokey eye without feeling overwhelming. If this post inspired you to look into booking a Vegas trip check out Vegas.com for some great Las Vegas deals!
